At Hay-on-Wye Dental Centre we carry out an extensive examination for all our patients. This will include:

A full charting analysis for new patients, together with a complete oral assessment of gums (periodontal), cancer check, advice on teeth clenching/grinding (bruxism), together with a full medical history.

X-rays may also be taken at this stage to highlight any underlying problems that are not visible.

Advice and recommendations will be given at the end of the appointment to ensure your future oral health and well being.

If appropriate a treatment plan will be drawn up, showing the estimated costs.
On a routine assessment the charting will be referred to and changes will be noted. Further x-rays are not usually required unless there has been a change in your oral health or treatment has been carried out.
